Presentation

This international conference focused on the relationship between gangs and youth street groups (especially of transnational kind) and mediation (especially how to manage and solve conflicts inside and outside the groups). It was the Final Conference of the TRANSGANG Project, a comparative research project on youth street groups in Europe, Africa and the Americas, funded by the European Research Council and developed from 2018 to 2023 at the University Pompeu Fabra. For dissemination purposes, we counted with the collaboration of another National Research project on gangs (LEBAN), and with the EUROGANG program of Research. The conference took place at the University Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. In the mornings the main results of TRANSGANG, in discussion with the researchers, members of the advisory boards and stakeholders, were presented. The event was completed in the evenings with the presentation of the documentary films produced by TRANSGANG.
