TraDiLex belongs to the Accessibility Innovation Network of Catalonia: Media, Education and Culture (AccessCat), funded by the Department of Research and Universities of the Generalitat de Catalunya (2021XARDI00007). The network is coordinated by the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, with Anna Matamala as director.

The AccessCat network aims to become a benchmark in the field of accessibility to information and communication, to promote and develop transfer and innovation activities in accessibility and to provide tools, resources, and support to the groups that make up the network.

Accessibility is one of the TraDiLex group’s lines of research. For example, the UNIVAC project focuses on the study of the needs of people with sensory disabilities when accessing university studies and career development within the university environment. Likewise, the LEXICAL research project incorporates as one of its lines of work the study of accessibility to the content of digital dictionaries and plans to publish an accessible neology dictionary. Finally, the FANTAME project aims to analyze migrants’ access to translation services to determine how this access influences the control of migration and their possibilities for citizen participation.
