Remediation and permanence

Remediation is the only way of conservation and restoration of media art; which implies that all 'old media' will be in 'new media' and that 'new media' will always be new. Remediation is the change necessary to achieve permanence through change and transcend the obsolescent nature of media. However, the preservation of the identity of new media artworks must be evolutionary and anti-fragile
