The monograph is another possible research result, which is normally reserved for presenting the results at the end of the research project period and in a more extensive form. It is a volume in which the contributions of the different researchers are generally collected in the form of a single or jointly authored chapter. It is not uncommon to invite other researchers from outside the group, especially those of international relevance, to collaborate with a complementary chapter, which ensures greater dissemination of the book.
Normally, a doctoral thesis adopts either the format of a monograph, or the format of a thesis by compendium of contributions (articles, communications, book chapters), in an articulated form, preceded by a general introduction and with final conclusions.
