Mercè Lorente Casafont

I am associate professor in the Departament of Translation and Language Sciences at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona from 1994, where I'm teaching courses on lexicology, terminology and applied linguistics. I'm full time researcher in the Institut de Lingüística Aplicada (IULA), that I have headed from 2006 until 2013, and also now from 2017. I am member of IULATERM (Lexicon and Technology) research group from 1994, and I am its main researcher from 2014.

I am a member of the Institut d'Estudis Catalans (IEC), that is the Catalan Academy of Sciences and Language, since 2016.

I am the editor in chief of the Terminàlia journal of the Catalan Society of Terminology (SCATERM).
