Biography note

Holder of a bachelor's degree in Information Sciences from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and a doctorate in Audiovisual Communication from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). He is a lecturer in Audiovisual Communication at UPF and head of the Department of Film Studies at the ESCAC film school. A film critic for Fotogramas, La Razón and Time Out, he is the author of David Lean, la geografía de la emoción, Michael Winterbottom, el orden del caos, and Las variaciones Hartley, among other books. He has contributed to collective works about Alain Resnais, Dario Argento, Philippe Garrel, Don Siegel, Jacques Demy, Australian fantasy films and independent American cinema. He was director of programming for the thematic channel TCM and has written scripts for film-related reports and documentaries broadcast on TVE and Canal Plus. The latest book he has published is called Hacia una imagen no-tiempo. Deleuze y el cine contemporáneo.
