Biography note

Manuel Garin is PhD in Film and Media Studies by UPF. He has developed research stays at the Tokyo University of The Arts and the University of Southern California. He is the author of El gag visual (Cátedra, 2014) and has published research in indexed journals and collective books. Trained as a musician, he completed an MA in film scoring at Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya.

- Silent cinema, comedy and slapstick.
