Biography note

Holder of a doctorate in Audiovisual Communication from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) in Barcelona, where he currently lectures on the Audiovisual Communication bachelor's degree and Contemporary Film and Audiovisual Studies master's degree programmes. He is editor of the academic journal Cinema Comparat/ive Cinema, a member of the CINEMA research group, director of the Audiovisual Editing postgraduate programme (IDEC/UPF), and a film programmer for Xcèntric, the cinema of the CCCB, Barcelona's Contemporary Culture Centre. He has written the books Vida secreta de las sombras (Paidós) and El blanco de los orígenes, co-edited Jean-Luc Godard. Pensar entre imágenes (Intermedio), and penned articles for around 30 anthologies and publications such as Cahiers du Cinéma-España, Sight and Sound and La Vanguardia.
