Biography note

Professor and researcher at the Department of Communication since 2000, specializing in discourse analysis applied to media and networks and their uses and effects. Bachelor in Audiovisual Communication (2000) and PhD in Social Communication (2010) with European Mention at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. Member of UNICA (Unitat d'investigació en Comunicació Audiovisual) and CAS (Communication, Advertising and Society), research groups with which she has participated in a large nomber of research projects. She is author of several articles in academic journals and other publications. Member of associations specialized in their fields of interest (ACOP, AECPA, FES, ISA, IPSA, ESN-IERI). Actually, she is the coordinator of the MEDIUM research group and is responsible for Quality and Innovation in the teaching of the Communication department.

- Social values and Media (especially on fiction television);
- Public Opinion, Citizenship and Media (included gender, childhood and youth, and immigration variables);
- Political Communication (especially rethorical analysis of persuasive discourses).

- Content and discourse analysis in communication (Master in Advanced Studies in Social Communication);
- In addition to having taught other subjects over the past 14 years as Audience Studies, The images of Policy or workshops and seminars dedicated to Semantic and Pragmatic Analysis of Advertising Image or Intercultural Communication.
