The course involves three 2 hour in-person sessions (Poblenou Campus), two asynchronous learning tasks and a small project.

Session 1: Generative AI. ChatGPT and other AI tools

April 26, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in classroom 52.101, at the Poblenou campus. 
This session introduces the functioning of ChatGPT and revise other generative AI tools (including text-to-text and text-to-image). How to be a good prompter. Ethics. Discussion about their potential and derived challenges.

Session 2: Applications of generative AI to support learning

May 10, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in classroom 52.101, at the Poblenou campus.
This session is focused on analysing examples where generative AI tools can offer new opportunities to support learning (e.g. AI as a playground to explore academic writing and thinking, to support creative thinking, etc.) The session will also focus on examples where the use of generative AI is not recommended to support learning (e.g., assisting personal reflection). Students will conceptualise and test their own examples.

Session 3: Sharing examples and lessons learned

May 24, 2023 from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in classroom 52.109, at the Poblenou campus.
This final session involves sharing experiences on the various examples and generating tips on how to best make use of AI tools to support learning in the participating students’ disciplines. The examples will be published openly so they can inspire other students.
