She is Professor of Labour Law and Social Security Law since 2001. After obtaining a Degree in Law from the University of Valencia (1992) she obtained the title of Doctor, with mention "excellent cum laude by unanimity", by the University Pompeu Fabra (1998). She is professor there since 1995, a member of the research group on Labour and Social Security law (greDTISS) . She is also Vice-Dean of the Law Faculty, with functions of direction of the Degree in Labour Relations since 2008. She is also member of the Board of  Governors of the University since 2004, as well as several committees, such as the Equality Committee and the International Relations Committee.

Recently, she has participated in the project funded by the European Commission and the European Parliament "Compatibility of social and labour rights recognised in EU legislation with European internal market and competition law" (Reference IP/A/EMPL/FWC/2013-021/C3 ; I.P.: Dagmar Schiek).She has recently participated in research projects on precarious work and social rights led by the Working Lives Research Institute (London Metropolitan University) and funded by the European Commission, Notion of worker and segmentation of social rights and, New Governance Institutions in the Work Arena both funded by the Spanish Ministry of Economy and COmpetitiveness. Currently she is, together with Julia López López, the main research in the project Convergences and divergences of collective bargaining systems in the context of employment strategies, funded also by the same Ministry. 

She has been a member of the International Organizing Comittee of the Labour Law Research Network Inaugural Conference (2013). She has been a visiting scholar at the Instituto di Diritto del Lavoro della Università de Catania (2001) and the Internation Labour Organization (2006). She has received various awards, amongst which the Francesc Layret award from the Catalan Association of Labour Lawyers (1999) and the Jaume Vicens Vives Distinction for Quality in University Teaching from the Catalan Government (2004). She has also been part of the teams of investigators which received collective awards from the Spanish Economic and Social Council (2000 and 2009). She has been an expert to the Parliamentary Committee for the organization of working time and work-life balance (2006) as well as to several Committees of the Ministry for Equality (2008).
