Travel to Barcelona

Barcelona–El Prat Airport (BCN) is located approximately 15 km southwest of the city centre and is well connected to Barcelona by public transport.

By taxi

Taxis are available at both airport terminals. The journey to central Barcelona generally takes around 25–40 minutes, depending on traffic. Fares are metered, with an airport surcharge. A journey from the airport to the city centre typically costs 35–40 euros (rates higher at night).

By train:

The airport is served by R2 Nord trains from Terminal 2. The line connects the airport with central Barcelona, including Barcelona Sants, Passeig de Gràcia, and El Clot-Aragó. The airport station is connected to Terminal 2; passengers arriving at Terminal 1 can use the airport's free inter-terminal shuttle bus.

For current timetables and fares, please consult Rodalies de Catalunya.

By metro:

Metro L9 Sud connects both airport terminals with Barcelona. The journey to the city centre takes approximately 30–35 minutes, and trains run approximately every 7 minutes. At Torrassa, you can transfer to L1, which provides access to central Barcelona and the workshop venue.

The 2026 Airport Ticket costs €5.90. A standard single ticket or T-casual is not valid for journeys to or from the airport metro stations.
