Sara Amido and Nicolás Rivera Bobadilla participated in the Valence Asymmetries workshop Ways of Speaking Badly: Insults, Slurs, and Confrontational Speech. Sara gave a talk titled "Potential triggers do not always escalate: Evidence from a pilot study (joint work with Vladislav Maraev & Christine Howes)" and Nicolás gave a talk titled "A grammaticalization path of puta: Semantic bleaching of a derogatory term in talk-in-interaction"
