With the common goal of enhancing high school students' interest in technology and biomedicine, the School of Engineering organizes the annual UPF Research Paper Award in ICT Engineering and Biomedical Engineering.

The best ITC or Biomedical Engineering research projects developed in the secondary schools (public, private or charter schools) will be awarded.

Information about the award ceremony

The award ceremony will take place on Friday, June 19, at 15:00 in the Auditorium of the Poblenou campus of the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF). Please confirm your attendance via this form.

During the event, the finalists will present their research papers in no more than four minutes, with three minutes to answer questions from the jury.

While the jury deliberates, the audience will also vote for the best Research Paper of the public.

Additionally, during the ceremony, we will present the Talent Awards, a set of forty scholarships for the best grades in admissions to UPF Engineering.

PROGRAM:

3:00 PM - Start of the event by the department director, Federico Sukno, and representatives from NTT Data and Caja de Ingenieros.

3:10 PM - Start of presentations of the finalist research papers

3:40 PM - Public voting and jury deliberation

3:45 PM - Talent Award Ceremony

4:00 PM - Announcement of the winners and presentation of the 1st prize (jury’s decision) and the 2nd prize (audience voting)

4:10 PM - End of the event
