Microcredencial
Responsible AI Management
The rapid emergence of Artificial Intelligence (AI) across multiple sectors of society—from healthcare and public administration to finance, industry, and education—is profoundly transforming decision-making processes. However, technological progress has often advanced faster than the development of mechanisms to ensure its ethical, responsible, and values-driven use, aligned with democratic principles and fundamental rights. In this context, the Catalan Artificial Intelligence Strategy (Catalonia.AI), the European Artificial Intelligence Regulation (AI Act), and initiatives such as UNESCO’s Recommendation on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence highlight the need to integrate ethics, transparency, and accountability throughout the entire lifecycle of AI systems.
Technical capabilities alone are not sufficient to ensure a fair, human-centered digital transformation. This programme equips professionals from both the public and private sectors with the skills needed to understand, implement, and evaluate AI systems from an interdisciplinary perspective that incorporates the current legal framework, ethical risks, inclusion, and sustainability.
For all these reasons, this micro-credential offers a robust, interdisciplinary, and impact-oriented educational experience aligned with both societal needs and labour market demands. The competencies and skills acquired enable participants to accelerate the adoption of responsible AI practices and strengthen the capabilities of professionals working in roles increasingly shaped by intelligent systems. Through this upskilling and reskilling pathway, participants will be able to carry out assessments that ensure compliance with regulations related to data governance and the responsible management of artificial intelligence.
