Research Unit in Audiovisual Communication (UNICA) is an established R & D research group recognized by the Generalitat de Catalunya and specialized in the field of communication and audiovisual culture. 

UNICA applies multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary methodologies of study and analysis, under the predominant focus of the social sciences and humanities. It also offers a diverse set of projects and research agreements in the audiovisual field, and advisory services in the design and deployment of projects and training services in audiovisual research.
