On December 15, 2021, the Doctoral School Steering Committee approved the proposal submitted by the Academic Committee of the Doctoral Program in Communication and decided to grant the XVI Doctoral Degree Special Award to Dr. Ana Aitana Fernández Moreno.

Ana Aitana Fernández Moreno obtained her PhD in the Universitat Pompeu Fabra on January 10th, 2019, with her thesis called “La cicatriz de la ausencia. Un atlas íntimo de la memória fílmica desde la imagen-objeto”, directed by Dr Sergi Sánchez Martí. She has recently been recognised with the Extraordinary Doctorate Award. We talked with her to know her experience during and after the PhD.
