1 contract with a profile linked to the research group JOVIS.com, a consolidated group (AGAUR) that aims to promote the study of contemporary youth from an interdisciplinary, transnational and gender perspective. The keywords in his research are: digital communication, generation, identity, ICT, social movements, political participation, public and youth policies, labor market, education, media competition, social conflicts, social work. His approach to youth is fundamentally based on qualitative methodology, especially ethnography, but he also uses quantitative techniques.

  • A good level of English (accredited) is required.
  • The research lines linked to these three areas will be prioritized:
    • Transnational youth: identities, diasporas and youth agencies. The mobility of the 21st century forces us to be attentive to the form taken by youth cultures in different geographical and cultural areas. The reception of global cultural artifacts and social changes do not take the same forms. Political, economic and social diasporas are often led by groups of young age. Faced with these phenomena, young people study strategies to face the challenges of the world around them.
    • Youth cultures, political participation and social movements: this line of research includes all research projects in which young people are protagonists of new ways of understanding politics and how this manifests itself in contemporary social movements. Continuing with the anthropological tradition of studies on youth, we focus on the forms of youth sociability and the way it manifests itself in the form of youth cultures.
    • Digital communication and media competence: ICTs have become an essential cultural device to produce youth agencies. Young people are at the forefront of creative production in the virtual space. This line of research focuses on the uses of new digital technologies in the creation of identities and media literacy as well as educommunication. Communication, whether personal, massive or digital, is essential for human relationships, and even more so for young people. It is, therefore, a transversal line to the previous ones
  • Knowledge and experience in the management and coordination of teams will be assessed.
  • Knowledge of audiovisual and digital language will be assessed (filming and editing, creation of websites, social networks).
