You are joining us this year as new members of one of the three studies taught at the Faculty of Communication (Audiovisual Communication, Journalism and Advertising and Public Relations), in the middle of a teaching transformation. A change that wants to promote teaching in constant evolution and adapting to social changes.

You are coming to the Poblenou campus at a time when knowledge transfer is a central aspect of our philosophy, with cross-disciplinary relationships between various knowledge fields and with agreements in place with industry companies and institutions in the sector. In this regard, Arsenal was born, a space for exchange and guidance in creation; we are embarking on the third year of Diari de Barcelona, a multiplatform communication medium, managed and produced by students on the bachelor’s degrees in Communication; and we acquired and consolidated agreements with multiple cultural institutions in the city with the aim of generating shared spaces for artistic, creative and professional practice and reflection.

You will become UPF student at a watershed moment in terms of breaking gender barriers, with absolute respect for the sexual orientation of and all members of our community. The Faculty of Communication is strongly committed to improving and finding the equality and respect deserved not just by women, but also by the LGTBIQ+ community.

We want our Faculty to be a place for the exchange of knowledge and of creation, a place of knowledge transfer and for personal and professional development and growth for each and every one of you.

A very warm welcome to you all!
