On 29 April at 6.30 p.m. there will be a debate on the book La imatge incessant (Anagrama, 2024) following its publication. The event will take place at the Mirador del CCCB. The authors, Jordi Balló and Mercè Oliva, will talk with Joan Burdeus and Mònica Planas.
Based on the questions that Jordi Balló and Mercè Oliva pose in their essay La imatge incessant, the authors, the philosopher Joan Burdeus and the journalist and professor Mònica Planas, will explore the anatomy of the different audiovisual formats and the ethical and narrative problems that may arise. An audiovisual format is a set of rules capable of generating a narrative repetition. But what discourses are behind these formats? How do they dialogue with other visual languages?
