The journal Comparative Cinema has published its issue number 21, Cinematic Pathologies: Representations and Depictions of the Diseased Body, edited by Alan Salvador Romero, Àngel Quintana and Daniel Pérez-Pàmies. The publication, by the CINEMA group, explores the representation of illness in cinema, from its origins to contemporaneity. Approaching from various comparative perspectives, the general vision offered by this monographic issue reactivates the contagious relationship that has always existed between cinema and disease, reinforcing the idea that the presentation of the fragility of the human body can show the viewer a respectful and human vision of the Other.
