The journal Comparative Cinema has published its number 20, “Cinema’s Natures: Comparative Approaches to Ecocinema" with Stefan Solomon's edition. The publication, by the CINEMA group, explores the contemporary meaning of ecocinema, from experimental non-fiction to popular feature films. Approaching from various comparative perspectives, ecocinema places film genres and styles side by side, and positions cinema in relation to science, resource extraction and what we call the natural world.
