March-July 2024: Audiovisual doctoral meetings

27.02.2024

The doctoral students of the CINEMA group (Aesthetic Research Group of the Audiovisual Media) of the Pompeu Fabra University organize the “Audiovisual doctoral meetings" to establish a meeting point for all those who carry out a doctoral thesis focused on audiovisual media. Each meeting will be based on a screening of an audiovisual work in the “En Construcció” Room, with a presentation and subsequent discussion by a doctoral student. In each day, a different student will propose a viewing in relation to their doctoral thesis. Thus, in the presentation they will present the relationship between the exhibited work and the current state of their doctoral thesis. In the colloquium, a debate or doubts will be established about the film and its way of approaching it academically. Attendees will be able to dialogue and contribute with ideas from their own knowledge and methodological area. In this way, we will generate connections, meet new audiovisual works and talk about our research.

The meetings are open to anyone interested in audiovisual research. Participation certificates will be given to all attendees. To receive the certificate, you must register at this Eventum link!
