MOVEP organizes a seminar in order to present its monographic issue of “Comparative Cinema”

The event will take place in the Poblenou Campus on Friday July 5, from 10 AM to 1 PM

27.06.2019

Next Friday July 5, the MOVEP research Project (Motivos Visuales en la Esfera Pública. Producción y Circulación de Imágenes del Poder en España, 2011-2017) will hold a seminar upon the launch of “Iconographies in the public sphere. Fiction devices in the representation of power”, the latest issue of the UPF academic journal Comparative Cinema.

The event, to take place on the room 52.701 of the Poblenou Campus, from 10 AM to 1 PM, will gather several lecturers in order to explore the methodological field of study of the iconographies of power, and to present the monographic issue, edited by UPF professors Jordi Balló and Ivan Pintor. Furthermore, “Iconographies in the public sphere…” includes articles and interviews by Victoria Cirlot, Luis Vives-Ferrándiz Sánchez, Isabelle Freda, Joan Miquel Gual y Mercè Oliva.

Focused on the study of the representation of power through visual motifs that transcend the artistic field in order to enter the day-to-day of mass communications, the MOVEP Project invites professionals and figures from the media, as well as theorists linked to this perspective.

Inscriptions for the seminar are available through the UPF Eventum.
