The Association of Friends of the Haas Library and the Centre for Aesthetics, Religion and Contemporary Culture of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra organize the IX Haas Lectures, a new session of the scholarly-artistic colloquium that periodically gathers artists, researchers and interested audience in the arts, literature, religion and contemporary cultural movements.

On Friday, June 10th, 2022, the ninth edition of the Haas Lectures consist in an event celebrated at the Water Tower Building, library of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra at the Ciutadella campus. The Villavecchia Fellowships and the Haas Lectures, interdisciplinary initiatives

The lecture by Perejaume is made possible by the 2022 Javier & Marta Villavecchia Fellowship granted annually by the Association of Friends of the Haas Library, and is part of the activities of the Centre for Aesthetics, Religion and Contemporary Culture, which aims to bring closer artists and scientists so that the common creative and interpretive element in the Arts and Thought is emphasized.

The Haas Lectures pay homage to the eminent Germanist and Mysticism scholar Alois M. Haas (University of Zürich), who donated a remarkable part of his personal librarry to the Universitat Pompeu Fabra. His research paved the path for the study of contemporary thought and spirituality in relation with the arts and Eastern and Western mystical traditions.
