Mariona is a member of the think-and-act tank Research & Degrowth International (R&Di). At R&Di she works in political advocacy for the promotion of degrowth public policies in Catalonia and Spain; as well as in organising transnational multi-movement alliances for a degrowth transition. As a trade-unionist, Mariona teaches ecological economics at Intersindical CSC, and is involved in researching and organising class-based ecological action in the union. Mariona holds an MPhil in Development Studies by the University of Oxford, where she conducted research on the ecosocialist policies and politics of the Kurdish Liberation Movement in North Kurdistan. In the past, Mariona has worked in non-profit organisations in the fields of development and ecological transition in Catalonia and Bolivia.
