Lecturer and researcher in International Relations at the Institute of Diplomacy and International Studies (IDIS), University of Nairobi. Specializes in the International Relations of African States. Experienced in teaching, supervising research, event coordination, and program leadership. Serves as Program Lead of the Africa Center for the Study of the U.S. (ACSUS) based at University of Nairobi. Winnie Rugutt holds a Ph.D. in International Studies from the University of Nairobi (2018–2024). She also earned a Master’s degree in International Relations from United States International University (2011–2013) and a B.A. in International Relations from United States International University (2008–2011).
