Professor Natasha Korotkova, keynote speaker at the workshop Acquaintance Familiarity and Value (co-organized between the Valence Asymmetries project and the LOGOS group at UB), stayed until the following week to give a talk at a joint session between the GLiF seminar and our seminar, at which she presented joint research with Pranav Anand on "come-to-know" verbs (such as 'discover'). Her talk "Today we learned: A focused investigation of English 'come-to-know' predicates" sparkled vivid debate and discussion among the audience.
