Upon his recent return from the U.S.A., where he worked with the NeuroComputational Ethics Research Group at NC State University, moral philosopher Dario Cecchini gave the talk "Toward a bivalent dyadic morality" at the Valence Asymmetries seminar on 27 January. Cecchini explained that the current versions of theories of dyadic morality (TDM) tend to focus on the notion of harm, and outlined an impovement that incorporates considerations about help. Addressing straight on one of the most intriguing valence asymmetries, between help and harm, the talk and the discussion elicited lively interest from the audience.
