In 2025, our project launched a special session series at the yearly workshop of the project-supporter STAL network (Slurring Terms across Languages). The session included the following talks: The Influence of Valence on the Interpretation of Expressive Adjectives, by Kalle Glauch; Reclaiming Slurs Over Apparent Time, by Shen-Yi Liao and Nat Hansen; Annotation of Face Effects as a Tool for Valence Analysis, by Sara Amido and Adil Soubki; Affect First? Evaluating the Affect-First Hypothesis through Valence, by Morgan Moyer, Anouch Bourmayan, Isidora Stojanovic, and Brent Strickland.
