STAL is an international and interdisciplinary network of researchers interested in slurs, pejoratives, expressives and evaluative terms in general, from less studied languages. For a third year in a row, we are organizing a monthly seminar on issues related to the study of slurs, pejoratives, and evaluative and expressive terms in general, with a focus on empirical methods and a broadly cross-linguistic and cross-cultural perspective.
