STAL is an international and interdisciplinary network of researchers interested in slurs, pejoratives, expressives and evaluative terms in general, from less studied languages. While the STAL network started before the Valence Asymmetries project, the two are now taking part in conjunction, since the project PI, Stojanovic, is also one of STAL's coordinators, together with Dan Zeman. This is the second year that  we are organizing a monthly seminar on issues related to the study of slurs, pejoratives, and evaluative and expressive terms in general, with a focus on empirical methods and a broadly cross-linguistic and cross-cultural perspective.
