The Statistics, Probability, and Machine Learning Group at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work under the supervision of Professors Gábor Lugosi and Piotr Zwiernik on topics at the intersection of graphical models, statistical learning with an emphasis on theory.

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field (completed or near completion).

• Strong background in probability, statistics, or machine learning.

• Demonstrated research potential through publications or preprints.

Position details:

• Duration: 1.5 years, extendable to 2 years subject to funding.

• Start date: before September 2026.
