Scientific Committee

The responsibilities of the SC are the implementation and monitoring of the program strategy, the assurance of the integration of the different parts of the program, the coordination of legal, ethical and contract issues of the Consortium, as well as decisions regarding the task execution and the use of resources, and conflict resolution.

Executive committee

The EC has responsibility for day to day management. The EC especially ensures that potential synergies among the different groups are created. In addition, it tries to detect those situations where a lack of development in any of the activities endangers the proper development of the others, encouraging preventive actions.

​Project administrative and financial managers

A Project Administrative Manager (PAM) and a Project Financial Manager (PFM), in charge of the financial and administrative issues according to the CONSOLIDER rules, support the PC. The PAM also acts as a Secretary, running the day-to-day needs of the project.

External Reviewers

The project has appointed independent External Reviewers regularly assessing the development of the research on the basis of the proposal and the annual reports. The SimulPast finances are managed by the IMF-CSIC, delegating the single groups' budget to each Institutional Member.

​Project Coordinator

The management of the SimulPast project is based on a governing structure that sees the Project Coordinator (PC) at the top. The PC is the spokesperson in relation to any external body. Also the PC will act as the link between the Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación and the groups participating in the program. The PC is responsible for the general program management, planning of actions, internal communication, progress monitoring, report production (based on the information supplied by the 7 group leaders) and the general dissemination of results.
