CAIROL CARABI, EDUARDO
EDUARD CAIROL CARABÍ is Doctor in Philosophy by the University of Barcelona (UB), with a Thesis on German Romanticism Aesthetics. Nowadays he is a professor of Art History & Theory in the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) and EINA.Design & Fine Arts School, joined to the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB). He is a specialist on the XIXth century Fine Arts & Literature and has widely explored the relations between Fine Arts, Religion and Philosophy during this period and the first years of the XXth century. He has imparted a great number of courses and lectures on all these topics in several universities and institutions. In this field, his work is mainly oriented towards European Romanticism and Symbolism. He is the author of the booklet Novalis: poesia i experiència mística (Claret, 2000). He is also the author of several translations of Novalis (Himnes a la Nit. La Cristiandat o Europa DVD, 2001) and Rilke (Ewald Tragy i altres textos de joventut, Tusquets, 2004). He has edited in Spanish the novel Obermann, by Senancour (KRK, 2010).
