Connecting Brain to Mind with Computational Neuroscience
How do we perceive and decide? Neuroscientists are describing the neuronal mechanisms that underlay the perception of the objects and the confidence in our decisions. With novel neuronal recording techniques, we are for the first time in a position to unravel some of the complex mechanisms that define and limit our cognition and self.
In our lab we combine computational and cognitive neuroscience to describe and model the neuronal mechanisms that underlie our cognitive functions. Given the broad scope of the problems that we must face, our lab is multidisciplinary, involving techniques from physics, machine learning, psychology and neuroscience.
