I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political and Social Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona. My research explores young people's relationship with democracy, focusing on how social and environmental changes influence their political attitudes and behaviour. I also examine how public policies and welfare systems address youth issues, as well as the role of young people in social movements, particularly the climate movement. In my research, I seek to integrate both quantitative and qualitative methods. My work has been published in journals like Social Movement Studies, Journal of Youth Studies, Sociological Review, or Social Inclusion.
Prior to joining UPF, I was a a Maria Zambrano postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Government and Public Policy-IGOP at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (2022–2024) and visiting research fellow at the School of Social Sciences and Humanities at Aston University in Birmingham (UK). I also held a Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral fellowship at the Youth, Society, and Communication Research Group at the Department of Communication at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (2019–2021). Between 2008 and 2017, I worked at the Catalan Youth Observatory within the Catalan Government.
