Social and Responsible Computing Research Group
The Social and Responsible Computing research group at UPF seeks to advance the state of the art on responsible uses of artificial intelligence — particularly in high-risk applications involving access to jobs, education, justice, health, and emergency services, among others. We also undertake interdisciplinary studies of the social web.
The research we develop is grounded in traditional areas of computing such as information retrieval, data mining, complex networks, human computation, and human-computer interaction.
We are part of the TESI research unit — Technology, Society, Interactions at the Department of Engineering of UPF.
