“la Caixa” Junior Leader Fellowship in MRG!

This week the "la Caixa" Foundation celebrated awarding new doctoral and postdoctoral scholarships to excellent researchers to carry out their projects in Spain and Portugal. We are proud to say that our Lena Matyjek is one of the 20 retaining Junior Leaders of the last call!
Lena's project, "Sync-in-id: synchrony in neurodiverse interpersonal dynamics" investigates the behavioural and neural markers of social interaction in neurotypical and autistic adults. Combining hyperscanning EEG with video and audio analyses of real-life interactions, the project will explore how interpersonal synchrony relates to social outcomes such as rapport, and how these processes may differ across neurotypes. A key aim is to better understand interaction challenges in mixed neurotype dyads, contributing to more inclusive models of social communication.
