Associate professor in Artificial Intelligence and Law
Migle is focusing on legal changes and challenges that the Artificial Intelligence, robotics and other disruptive technologies are presenting the contemporary societies with. In particular, Migle is interested in the impact of these technologies on human rights, development and evolution of rights, ethics of technology, philosophy of law and our understanding of agency, personhood, autonomy and risks.
Currently Migle is a member of the European Group on Ethics in Science and New Technologies (EGE, the latest statement "Defending Democracy in Europe" and new opinion on "Ethical Perspectives of Solar Radiation Management"), a member of EBP Expert Group on Blockchain Ethics (EGBE), as part of European Blockchain Service Infrastructure (EBSI), a member of the Directive Board of "Gregorio Peces-Barba" Institute of Human Rights, Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M) (Madrid, Spain).
At the UPF, Migle is part of the ARTEMISA project, dedicated to address the cybersecurity challenges and raise awareness to increase female participation in dealing with them. This project is directed by Prof. Vanesa Daza (ICT department, UPF).
Migle is also coordinating the PhD program in Law at the UPF.
