Martin Rodrigo y Alharilla is associate professor of contemporary history in the Department of Humanities, Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona). He also teaches in the Political and Social Sciences Faculty and in the Master of History of the World at the same university. He is member of the Research Group on Empires, Metropolises, and Extra-European Societies (GRIMSE-UPF). He is currently the IP of a research project funded on the Spanish participation in the slave trade and the legacy of slavery (1765-1886).
