I am Serra Húnter Associate Professor at the Faculty of Humanities, Pompeu Fabra University (UPF), Barcelona. Before that I was Juan de la Cierva postdoctoral researcher at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). I have also been adjunct professor at the University of Girona and Teaching and Research Fellow at University College Dublin, Ireland. I got my degree in Philosophy (extraordinary award), master in Language and Cognitive Science (CCiL) and PhD in Philosophy (with international mention) from the University of Barcelona. I have spent visiting research periods at the Center for Subjectivity Research, University of Copenhagen (Denmark), New York University (USA), and Universidade Federal do Paraná (Brasil).

Main research areas:

  • Philosophy of mind and psychology, phenomenology: cognitive phenomenology, thought and thinking, consciousness, inner speech, affordances, autism.
  • Feminist philosophy: intersectionality, social categories, gender, sexuality.

I belong to the Language in Neurodiversity Lab (Lindy Lab), the Grup d’Estudis Fenomenològics (GEF, Societat Catalana de Filosofia) and I’m senior member of the LOGOS Research Group.

I'm currently Area Editor for Philosophy of Mind and Cognition in the journal Theoria, and board member of the Sociedad Española de Filosofía Analítica, the SWIP-Analytic, the European Society of Analytic Philosophy and the Network for Phenomenological Research.
