GRECC (Science Communication Research Group) is a communication research group of Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) which adopts an interdisciplinary approach to communication of Science and Sport. The research activity of GRECC is articulated in three major areas of study:
- Science Communication, Science Journalism and Science Popularisation
- Pseudoscience and Society
- Sport and Media Studies
GRECC is in the expanding 22@ technology district of Barcelona, located within the Communication-Poblenou Campus, the latest of the new intensive knowledge-based structures fostered by UPF focused on Media and Communication Technologies. GRECC was founded in 2012 by PhD Josep Maria Casasús and currently is coordinated by PhD Manel Palencia-Lefler Ors.
