M. José González holds a PhD in Political and Social Sciences (European University Institute (EUI), Florence, Italy, 2001), Master in Human Geography ("Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona", 1994) and postgraduate in Demography, "Demographic analysis and forecasts" (Centre for Demographic Studies, "Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona", 1991). Since 2011, she is the Vice-Director of Policy and Social Sciences Department and member of the Research Group in Gender Studies at Pompeu Fabra University.
