Siena, medieval city of Tuscany

We suggest you visit one of the cities that marked the history of medieval Italy. Siena was one of the most important Tuscan communes and an economic power supported by the efforts of its artisans and merchants between the XII and XV centuries. The inhabitants of the city claimed their regime of republican government and decisively promoted the cultural and artistic splendor of the Italian Trecento.

Our trip wants to explain in situ and in detail the history of Siena in all its aspects, with the aim, above all, to get to understand what a medieval city represents.

We will visit the monuments that testify its greatness: the Duomo, the convents of San Domenico, San Francesco and Sant'Agostino, the Casa di Santa Catarina, the Palazzo Publico and the Piazza del Campo. We will also propose visits to the Museo dell'Opera Metropolitana del Duomo and the Pinacoteca Nazionale, at the Palazzo Buonsignori.

• flight (Barcelona - Firenze) and transfer to Siena
• three nits in double or tri room in 3 star hotel in half board (breakfast and lunch or dinner)
• a preparatory session will be offered. It will help to better include the theoretical content. This session will be attended by Víctor Farías Zurita, professor responsible for the visit
• An online dossier that will contain information necessary to understand the topic of study

• The total price of the route is 517 € (there may be variations depending on availability of flights)
• The payment will be made in 2 installments:
  • until 11 October: 30% of the amount will be advanced to make the reservation of the square
  • until 3 December: the rest of the amount will be paid
  • once the payment is made, only money will be returned due to a reasoned force majeure (illness or similar)
  • if you do not reach the minimum registration of pre-reservation (14 people), the trip will be canceled and we will refund the total amount paid to the inscribed
  • we have 40 places available
