Between September 21th and 23th, we held in Palma de Mallorca the tenth edition of the Expert Program in Health Policy and Pharmacoeconomics, focused this year on debating the relationship between higher healthcare spending and better outcomes, under the question: Is more always better? The Program, directed and coordinated by the Center for Research in Health Economics of Pompeu Fabra University (CRES-UPF), with the collaboration and support of Novartis, made it possible for various expert voices in the fields of economics and health to come together during these days to share knowledge that is, today, a priority. Thus, around fifty people took part in the Program, among speakers and attendees, engaged in health economics research or holding positions of responsibility in healthcare institutions or public administration.
