TERESITA FRANCOMANO
FRANCOMANO, TERESITA
Teresita Francomano is a researcher with a degree in Audiovisual Communication from Universitat Jaume I. She completed a Master’s in Contemporary Film and Audiovisual Studies at Pompeu Fabra University, where she is currently part of the CINEMA research group as a predoctoral researcher in training. Her doctoral thesis examines the affective forms of memory and the politics of belonging in contemporary autobiographical cinema. Her work combines film studies, affect theory, and critical geography to explore how images shape sensitive cartographies of memory and displacement. She has undertaken training stays and participated in seminars on contemporary cinema, self-representation, and memory at institutions such as Hochschule Darmstadt (2020–2021), Universitat de València (2022), and the Institute of Philosophy at Universidade Nova de Lisboa (2023).
