GILBERT, TANA
Chilean filmmaker and lecturer, graduated from the University of Chile with a Master’s degree in Documentary Cinema. Her work lies at the intersection of archive, memory, and the representation of the domestic and the political in Latin America. Her debut feature film, Malqueridas (2023), received the Grand Prize for Best Film at the Critics’ Week of the Venice International Film Festival and over thirty international awards. She is currently pursuing a PhD in Communication at Pompeu Fabra University, where her research focuses on the representation of women in contexts of violence and justice, through research-creation methodologies and a feminist approach to documentary cinema.
