I’m a Brazilian archaeologist and PhD student in phytolith and starch analysis from archaeological sites in Central Brazil. My research is focused on finding evidence of plant use and cultivation, from the beginning of the Holocene to more recent ceramist contexts. The analysis is applied to sediment, lithic and ceramic artifacts and can provide information on tool use, what kinds of plants these societies used or cultivated and cultural activities related to these plants, contributing to a major context of archaeobotany in South America.
