On October 18th, the conference organized by Artemisa and the UPF School of Engineering was held in celebration of its 25th anniversary. The Ethical Guidelines for Blockchain Systems within the EU were presented by five of its authors. This guide outlines the ethical principles that will govern the adoption of blockchain technology within the European Union. It has already become part of the official EU documentation, as can be seen in the European Blockchain Observatory.

The event featured the renowned professor Keith Miller, known for his distinguished career. He delivered the keynote address and participated in the panel debate that followed, drawing significant attention.

The welcome was given by Professors Migle Laukyte from the UPF Department of Law and Vanesa Daza from the UPF Department of Information Technologies. The introduction was led by one of the guide's authors, Professor Roman Beck, who also participated in the panel discussion, along with Signe Agerskov, Víctor Garcia-Font, Daniel Du Seuil, Dévika Pérez-Medina i Ignasi Oliva Corrales.

We are proud of the success of this initiative, which exceeded expectations, with an in-person attendance of 120 people and a total participation of over 150 people.
